RAYON SPORTS FC are in final stages to ink a deal with Amagaju FC Burundian international Hussein ‘Tchabalala’ Shaban on a two-year contract.

The 25-year-old forward is reported to be on the verge of agreeing to a Rwf2m recruitment fee and a monthly pay of Rwf500, 000. The 2018 transfer window opened on January 1 and closes on January 31.

After two weeks of talks, Rayon club president Paul Muvunyi confirmed the deal is almost done.

"We have finalized talks with Amagaju, we are in talks with the player to know what he wants in order to settle in Kigali,” Muvunyi said.

Muvunyi added that the other deal of signing Dieu Merci from DR Congo is still pending while Ismaira Diarra will be a Rayon Sports player on January 5. Meanwhile 20-year-old Zambian striker Chitoshi Mukuma from Zambian side Napsa Stars could join the club in two weeks.

Muvunyi noted that they will add two more players after Rayon Sports head coach, Olivier Karekezi asked the club to give him more players ahead of CAF Champions league matches.

Muvunyi said they are also in talks with AS Kigali and attacking midfielder Dominique Savio Nshuti, to see if they can resign him.

Last week, Nshuti put AS Kigali on notice that he wants to terminate his contract on grounds that the Azam Rwanda Premier League side failed to honor the contract terms.

The 20-year-old joined AS Kigali in June on a free transfer after the City of Kigali-sponsored team paid him a sign-on fee of Rwf16m.
