Jean Claude Nizeyimana scored the second god in the 48th minute before Burundian international forward Francis Moustapfa completed the rout in the 90th minute.

It was the biggest win of the season for Andre Casa Mbungo’s team, who moved two points clear of second-placed AS Kigali at the summit of the table with 20 points after 10 rounds of matches.

Elsewhere, Miroplast held defending champions Rayon Sports to 1-all draw at Mironko Stadium, while two other fixtures, Kirehe FC vs Marines at Nyakarambi ground and Espoir vs Mukura Victory Sports at Kamarampaka Stadium, both ended goalless.

AS Kigali dropped to second place with 18 points, while APR FC, who 13th-placed Musanze FC on Sunday at Kigali Stadium, remain in third place with 16 points, one ahead of Sunrise FC, Police, Rayon Sports and Mukura, all tied on 15 points.

Amagaju FC, who travel to Gicumbin on Sunday, Miroplast and Espoir, occupy the three bottom position with 8 points each.

After match-day 10 fixtures, the league will take a break to allow the national team to take part in CHAN 2018 finals in Morocco from January 12 through February 4.

Amavubi will hold a ten-day training camp in Tunisia from January 2 to 11 before connecting to Morocco.

The Rwandan delegation to CHAN will depart for Tunisia on New Year to start preparations ahead of their opening Group C encounter against 2014 champions Libya on January 15 in Tangier. Amavubi will also face Nigeria and Equatorial Guinea in the group.
