Second division league Pool A leaders Pepiniere FC are keen to beat 9th-placed Esperance SK on match-day 7 on Saturday at Ruyenzi ground.

Relegated from the Azam Rwanda Premier League last season after only one season, Pepiniere last weekend beat Unity Sports Club 2-0 at Ndera ground to go top of the table in the second tier with 11 points.

Since the second division league started, Jean Paul Muhoza’s Pepiniere FC have won three, drawn twice and lost one game of their opening six fixtures. Esperance are in ninth place with six points.

Meanwhile, at Ngoma ground, Etoile de l’Est FC, who are in third place with 10 points will host fourth-placed Unity Sports Club (9 points). Second-placed Sorwathe FC will face bottom side Nyagatare FC at Musheri ground.

In Group B, the big match will be at Stade Muhanga between AS Muhanga, who have 13 points from five matches, and Intare FC, who are a point behind having played a game more.
