APR Men’s Volleyball Club have signed two promising players, Ronald Muvara (center), from Rusumo High School, and Willcliff Dusengimana (left attacker), from Group Scolaire de Butare, all on a two-year contract.

APR’s Kenyan coach Sammy Mulinge has added four new players namely; Vanuste Gatsinzi, from University of Kibungo (UNIK), Ronald Muvara, Cedric Ngaboyintwari from Rwanda Energy Group (REG), and Gibson Nyange, from Gatenga Academy.

The army side lost Rwanda international Yves Mutabazi, who joined Jordan Volleyball Federation side Al Awdeh Youth Club, and Mulinge is hopeful that young players will fill the gap left behind by the 2017 Most Valuable Player.

The 2018 men volleyball national league kicks off January 13, while the women’s league will start at early February.

The league will be played in two phases (home and away) while the top four will meet in the playoffs, which will determine the national champion in both genders.

Champions Gisagara (men) and Rwanda Revenue Authority (women) will represent Rwanda at next year’s CAVB Africa Club Championships.
