APR take BAL 2024 preps to Qatar

Mazen Trakh and his APR side departed for Qatar on Monday night, February 19 at 11pm, for a 10-day training camp during which the club will play build up games as part of their preparations for the Basketball Africa League (BAL).

The Rwandan champions’ camp will run from February 21 to March 1.

APR found themselves in the Sahara Conference whose regular season will take place in Dakar, Senegal from May 4-12. The Conference comprises Tunisia’s US Monastir, AS Douanes of Senegal and Nigerian Champions Rivers Hoopers.

After the camp in Qatar, the army side will return to Kigali on March 1.

The fourth BAL season will feature a record 48 games in Pretoria; Cairo, Egypt; Dakar, Senegal; and Kigali, Rwanda, marking the first BAL games in South Africa and the first time the league will play games in four different countries.
