Uncovered by many, Rusesabagina tries to hook new unaware audiences

After being confronted with and challenged by so many people knowledgeable about past and present events in Rwanda – whether in the Americas or in Europe –the public accustomed to this column do certainly remember what happened to him in Netherlands last October and in Brussels in November last year.

At that time, he was humiliatingly denied access to not less than three high institutions of learning where indeed, the UCL (Catholic University of Louvain-La neuve), the VUB (Flemish University of Brussels, ULB (Free University of Brussels) and St Michel High School refused to associate or else appear to be supporting in any way the revisionist philosophy of the speaker-  Paul Rusesabagina realized to his chagrin that he could no longer easily spread his lies in his habitual circles and is now trying his luck in new presumably virgin pastures.

Thus, in an amazing twist of events, we hear that "on 24th of November 2008, Rusesabagina was invited by ‘HUMAN AID 4 LIFE’ to promote a 4-day film festival in Austria on issues of human rights”.

We also hear that the festival was organized by different NGOs including Care-Austria, World Vision Hilfswerk Austria, Austrian Radio FM4-ORF and…HOTEL RWANDA RUSESABAGINA FOUNDATION.

What a coincidence! Rusesabagina was later on hosted by the same Austrian Radio and gave an interview to one Zita Rotifer Steve whom he apparently brainwashed so well that the poor journalist ended up espousing the negationist/revisionist views of his interviewee.

Zita Rotifer’s first question was much revealing on what we just said. It goes thus: "Many Rwandans complain that ethnicity still dominates Rwandan life. Though several important ministries are run by Hutus, they have really little power and the government is dominated by the Tutsi tribe of President Paul Kagame. Is that dangerous?”

Were not such statements conveying serious divisionism messages, they would just be laughable from such an ignorant individual. Who are those Rwandans that have been uttering such complaints to him? Where did he meet them?

Certainly not in Rwanda where we are quite certain he has never set a foot. It would not be wrong to assume that Rusesabagina himself put the words into the journalist’s mouth so that he could get the opportunity to rehearsal his old tune.

"It is very dangerous for the future. It used to be a Hutu government and when the Tutsis took over they made the same mistake. There is no compromise and as long as we Rwandans don’t reach a compromise, there will never be reconciliation…” Rusesabagina unsurprisingly answered.

The man who usurped the title of the "Rwandan Schindler” tries to drum up into the Austrian people’s minds his ‘evangelical truth’, the negationist idea of double genocide.

For someone pretending to care for Rwanda and Rwandans, Rusesabagina should know that Rwanda’s new constitution bans any reference to ethnicity in any endeavor. But he instead chooses to gloss over compromise.

But compromise between who and who? Compromise on what when all Rwandans now live in harmony? Over genocide? More than one million innocent people were slaughtered, only for what they were, by blood thirsty murderers, and what he has to say is compromise!

The man again inspires contempt when he pushes the arrogance and cynicism too far saying that "the President of Rwanda is trading on the genocide of 1994”.

By the answer, Rusesabagina turns round like a chameleon and paints the Rwandan leadership what he himself is; a beneficiary of the 1994 Tutsi genocide. Like any liar, Rusesabagina cannot help but entangle himself into his own lies and contradictions.

When the journalist asked him: "if I was in Rwanda, would I notice a difference between a Hutu and a Tutsi”, he cannot avoid the truth: "In many cases you can never tell the difference; we were born into a society that has been mixing long before the colonials turned up… and he just immediately adds…But before the colonial period the Hutus were slaves to the Tutsi. These people have never sat down at a table and talked…”

One is bewildered by the man’s capacity to hallucinate himself to such a point of proffering two most incompatible truths in one same statement. We also pity the audience that was submitted to such insanities.

Let us hope that the organizations that participated in the hosting of the festival were not blinded by Rusesabagina’s ill-earned fame and that they wisely saw through his lies.

Let Care Austria, World Vision and others seek information from their sister organizations currently working in Rwanda and be updated about the reality in the country so that they could know about the man who pretentiously abused their ignorance and good will and take a distance from such a man like so many others have done.

Let Mr. Zita Rotifer Steve reflect on the difference of what he heard from Rusesabagina, the liar/negationist and what he says is "one of Kagame’s favorite slogans "One people, one future”. It is never too late to learn. Be advised to read on the so-called humanitarian’s latest ill-fated political machinations in our next article!
