Pierre Nsabimana, a resident of Kagugu, Gasabo District, will no longer have to worry about where to get money for basic needs. The popcorn vendor won a new motorcycle in the ongoing Airtel Tunga promotion, which he plans to use for taxi moto business to increase his income.

While receiving the motorcycle at Airtel Service Centre in Kimironko on Thursday, Nsabimana said it has been hard for him to meet basic needs as he earns peanuts from popcorn vending.

"I got my driving permit five years ago but had failed to get work as a taxi moto rider. Now that I have my own motorcycle, I will use for commercial venture as a taxi moto operator. This way, I will be able to improve my living standards as I will be my own boss,” said the 28-year-old Nsabimana.

He started participating in the promotion three weeks back and had accumulated 4.97 million points by the time he was announced the ninth winner on the three month promotion.

The Airtel Tunga promotion ends next month.
