Men’s categoryGroup A: Patriots, IPRC-South, UGB and APRGroup B: REG, 30-Plus, IPRC-Kigali and Espoir Rwanda Energy Group (REG) and Espoir Basketball Club have been drawn in Group B for this year’s pre-season tournament, which is scheduled to run from November 17 to 26.

The tournament which is a curtain-raiser for the new season will attract eight men’s teams and four in the women’s category—it will be played at Amahoro Indoor Stadium and Rwanda National Paralympic Committee Gymnasium.

The men’s category has been divided into two groups A and B, each comprising four teams that will face each other with the top two advancing to the semi-finals.

Regular season league champions REG and former champions Espoir, are joined by IPRC-Kigali in Group B, while Group A has; IPRC-South, APR, United Generation Basketball (UGB) and defending champions, Patriots. Patriots defeat REG 76-75 in last year’s final.

The women category comprises four teams namely; APR, IPRC-South, The Hoops Rwanda and Ubumwe that will play against each other on a round robin format. The team with the most points will be crowned champions.
