Kina Festival

The fourth edition of Kina Festival that started on November 8 is on at Croix-Rouge, Kigali.  The children’s festival organised by Ishyo Arts Centre will run until November 12. It will feature performances from Rwanda, Nigeria, Germany, Zimbabwe, Senegal, Burundi and DRC, and it aims at honing children’s creativity through high quality art workshops and exposure to performances by both children and renowned international artistes.

Iwacu Wellness and Arts Centre re-opening

The re-opening of Iwacu Wellness and Arts Centre is on tomorrow November 11 at their premises in Kagugu. They will be introducing Shiatsu techniques

conducted by blind Shiatsu practitioners and will offer different kinds of relaxing and revitalising massages. There will also be an acrobatic show and artwork by their children’s art group, a camp fire, barbecue and drinks.

Kaci Kaci Art Festival

One of the country’s leading tourist destinations, Musanze District, will host the first edition of the Kaci Kaci Art Festival on November 11 at the Incuti Arts Cultural Centre. The aim is to celebrate and amplify the Northern Province’s rich culture and foster traditional Rwandan music. Set to perform are local talents Mani Martin, Jules Sentore, Patrick Nyamitali, Andy Bumuntu and Peace Jolis, traditional dance troupes Yemba Band from Nyundo Art and Music School and The Bless, among other artistes.

The HappyNes’ intercultural night

The HappyNes’ second intercultural night and business round-table will introduce the new technology of their young innovators. Discover the work of their women’s cooperatives, taste some of their bakers amazing food, and check out their jewellery.

Get to know more about how it’s all made, about their challenges and successes. There will be performances by Nganji, Bageni and Nova. All this will happen at the Root House, Kigali on Sunday November 12.

Umunyamateka Album Launch

Gospel singer Billy Jakes will be launching his album ‘Umunyamateka’ album at Kigali Serena Hotel on Sunday, November 12, starting at 5pm. South African artiste Zaza Mokhethi will grace the event as well as gospel singers Tonzi, Brian, Ben and Chance.
