Renowned Rwandan lyricist and musician Niyo Bosco has finally dropped his debut extended play (EP) dubbed ‘New Chapter’.

The five track EP is a result of a new contract that the artiste recently signed with one of the biggest record labels in the country, KIKAC music, which is also home to singer Bwiza.

"The wait is over and here is my EP "New Chapter”. S/O to everyone behind the creation of this masterpiece especially all producers and my management team,” the artiste wrote on X, announcing his comeback.

The EP, which premiered today on all major streaming platforms, was highly welcomed by many of Niyo’s fans, who have been eagerly waiting for his comeback ever since he started fighting with former management lines, a move that triggered his break from producing music.

Niyo has not been releasing music ever since he parted ways with Murindahabi’s MIE on October 28, 2022, for fraudulently taking advantage of his talent and not pay him 30 per cent revenue of his YouTube income, among other misunderstandings.

The artiste later joined Sunday Entertainment label which he accused of doing the same mistakes that had pushed him to leave MIE and joined MetroAfro in September this year that he also left without producing any project.

It is said that the new management is working with the artiste to help him produce and distribute his first album that debuts this year.

Niyo remains one of the best singers and lyricists in the history of Rwandan music . He rose to fame after the release of his first track 'Ubigenza Ute' and later dropped hit songs like Piyapuresha, Ishyano, Seka, Urugi and many others.
