Airtel Tunga promo motorcycle winner used Rwf45,000

For an investment of only Rwf45,000, Jane Uwanyirigira is now an of a brand new motorcycle. The resident of Rugunga in Nyarugenge District emerged the seventh winner of a motorcycle in the ongoing Airtel Tunga promotion last week.

For an investment of only Rwf45,000, Jane Uwanyirigira is now an of a brand new motorcycle. The resident of Rugunga in Nyarugenge District emerged the seventh winner of a motorcycle in the ongoing Airtel Tunga promotion last week.

While receiving the bike at Airtel Service Centre in Kimironko, the 20-year-old Uwanirigira said she had spent Rwf45,000 on Airtel by the time she won.

Uwanirigira added that she sent messages for the whole week and was able to answer the questions asked, amassing 200 million points to win the bike.

The general merchandise trader said she will use the motorcycle for business to generate side income.

While handing over the motorcycle, Happy Gatera, the Airtel Rwanda marketing manager, said the promotion seeks to empower the telecom firm’s subscribers and help improve their household income.

How to participate

To participate in the promotion, Airtel customers can send an SMS with the digit ‘1’ to 155, follow prompts and answer the questions. One can alternatively call 155 to follow the instructions. Either way, a customer needs to answer the questions to earn points. Each text message costs Rwf100.

To stand a chance of winning, Airtel customers send text messages to gain points.

A customer gets 100 points for sending a correct response, while a wrong one attracts 50 consolation points.
