RE: "Trade unions urge speedy review of minimum wage” (The New Times, October 30). I really believe that increasing minimum wage would give a great push to our economy. Consumption is the main driver of any economy, and people consume more when they have more money. Trade unions please work on it. Government should help. It’s for the greater good of the country. Our economy has been doing well and businesses have been making more money all the while paying a paltry to their employees. It’s time things change.
