Singers Ariel Wayz, Delah Dube give Valentine’s experience

One of the many Valentine’s events that took place in Kigali on February 14, the Andersonne Experience held at BK Arena gave lovebirds a night of fun and good romantic music.

Kicking off at around 8pm, singer and poet Delah Dube was beaming with smiles as she stepped on the stage for her opening performance which was definitely one to remember.

The poet stole everyone’s attention during her poem 'Love’ as she made sure every word was felt. The poem was then followed with a song and that entertained her audience who seemed to be in awe of the talented young artist.

Among the songs she sang were 'Peru' and 'Down The River'. Her performance did not only move the lovers in the house, but it also proved how talented and unique Delah Dube is as an artist who has an incredible future in music and poetry.

DJ Eric Soul was on the ones and twos playing some of the calmest yet heartiest music for the couples. Even though rain had been pouring down before the show started, the people in the room seemed very connected and ready for the night.

Ariel Wayz as the show’s headliner was given a warm welcome from the fans. She performed in two parts, cover songs and her own songs.

Ariel’s live performance and vocals got the audience entertained. Covering big songs like ‘Bood Up’ by Ella Mai, ‘If I ain’t got you’ by Alicia Keyz, ‘A natural Woman’ by Aretha Franklin and ‘ Nzabampari’ by Knowless was one of the show’s best highlights.

She often pauses during her performance to interact with her audience and wish them a happy Valentine’s. She was also surprised by her sister on stage who presented flowers to her during her performance. She kept on mentioning how supportive she has been and continues to be during her music career.

Among her own songs that she performed were ‘Your Love’, ‘Bad’, ‘Far from you’, ‘Agasinye’ and ‘Away’ . During this section, the audience was already on its feet dancing with their loved ones to the beautiful music by one of Rwanda’s best singers.

The crowd did not make it easy for the singer as they pled with her to perform one more song. The show ended at 10:45pm.
