Police FC head coach Innocent Seninga is a happy man after five of his key players have returned from injuries ahead of the start of the 2017/18 season on September 29.

Police finished second last season, behind champions Rayon Sports and will start their league campaign against Etincelles on September 30 at Umuganda Stadium.

Seninga confirmed that goalkeepers Marcel Nzarora and Emmanuel Bwanakweli, striker Justin Mico, left-back Jean Marie Muvandimwe and midfielder Anderson Neza have all recovered from lengthy injuries and are training properly with the rest of the squad.

"We know what these players are bringing; they are all very important players for Police FC. We are happy to have them back in full training, it helps us to plan well,” Seninga told Saturday Sport.

He noted that, "I was a bit upset with the injuries but I’m glad they have all recovered earlier than expected. We expect a tough season, which means that we need to have all our big guns available and ready for selection for our first game of the season.”

Meanwhile, Rwandan football governing body, FERWAFA, have released the full fixture for the 2017/18 Azam Rwanda Premier League season.

All the 16 clubs have been included in the fixtures despite some still working around the clock to finalize their players’ documents.

Defending champions Rayon Sports will face AS Kigali in the league opener of the season on Friday, September 29 at Kigali Stadium.

Four matches will be played on Saturday, September 30, with Peace Cup winners APR FC taking on Sunrise FC at Kigali Stadium, Espoir will be away to Gicumbi at Stade de Gicumbi while Kirehe will host Mukura VS at Kirehe ground.

The opening round of matches will conclude on Sunday, October 1, 2017 when Amagaju FC take on Bugesera FC at Kicukiro stadium, newly promoted Miroplast will host Marines at Stade Mironko while SC Kiyovu will be up against Musanze FC at Stade Mumena.
