The 5th edition of the annual ‘Ambassadors Cup’ will take place from September 21-23 at Amahoro Indoor Stadium. Rwanda Taekwondo Federation has confirmed.

According to the federation’s Secretary General, Placide Bagabo, this year’s tournament will attract 19 clubs, with hosts Rwanda entering the highest number (8) while Kenya will have 5, Uganda 2, Tanzania 1, Somalia 1, Burundi 1 and DR Congo 1.

Bagabo disclosed that, this year, for the first time, they expect Tanzania to take part.

The tournament is sponsored by the Korean Embassy in Kigali and organized by the Rwanda Taekwondo Federation.

"Previously, the competition attracted few participants but the standards are going up, which can be seen by the level of interest from foreign teams,” Bagabo said.
