Times Sport understands that Shkupi paid Rayon Sports $30,000 to secure the services of the Amavubi centre back who had six months left on his two-year contract.

"Abdul Rwatubyaye has officially joined Macedonian club FC Shkupi on a permanent deal," Rayon Sports posted on their social media.

Rwatubyaye left for Macedonia just a day after he reportedly sustained an injury during Rayon Sports&039; defeat against Police in the Heroes Cup semifinals on February 28.

The club was surprised to see photos of the defender in FC Schkupi's training kits circulating on social media, in what the club described that he abandoned his job.

The Macedonian side had to pay $30,000 to buy a release clause for his two-year-contract that was due to expire on June 30.
