Dear Editor,
I would like to thank Rwandatel for the long awaited good services they have brought to the Rwandan market but frankly, I was not pleased with the actual celebration of the GSM launch.

The company brought us great performers such as American-Jamaican artiste, Sean Paul, Congolese Kofi Olomide and Ugandan star, Bebe Cool among others; however the show did not turn out to be what we expected.

Personally I am a big fan of Sean Paul and I had successfully managed to secure a VIP (very important person) seat, but what beats me is why we (as the main guests) were separated from the podium by a big distance of about 100 metres!

The show had the best sound system compared to other shows that have been staged in Rwanda but, we did not enjoy as expected.

Although thousands attended the show, many of us including the VIP’s were not able to see the performers and the big screens that were meant to help us view clearly  were placed in the wrong place, at almost the same distance with the podium.

Such incidences should never happen again. If at all the motive was to save the stadium’s pitch from getting destroyed, then they should have taken the show somewhere else instead of boring us.

Such performers are used to being closer to their fans so I am certain that they were not pleased to perform miles away from Rwandans.

At one point I actually thought that the show was for journalists only simply because they were closer to action and must have had a lot of fun. Let us hope that we shall get something better at the Shaggy show.
