KIST gets Rwf 180m lecturers’ guest house

Kigali Institute of Science and Technology (KIST) in Partnership with the Technische Universitat Kaiserslautern, a Germany university yesterday launched a guest house worth over Rwf180 million that is meant to accommodate visiting lecturers.

Kigali Institute of Science and Technology (KIST) in Partnership with the Technische Universitat Kaiserslautern, a Germany university yesterday launched a guest house worth over Rwf180 million that is meant to accommodate visiting lecturers.

The guest house which is located at the institute’s main campus, was opened in the presence of the KIST Rector Prof. Abraham Attah Ogwu and the President of Kaiserslautern University Prof. Helmut J. Schimidt.

The project which was conceived five years ago and was jointly funded by the two institutions, according to officials will serve as an instrument that will strengthen cooperation between the two Universities.

The construction of the facility started in 2006. In his remarks, Prof Atta thanked the German University for their efforts in strengthening the cooperation through such activities.

The Guest House which is situated at the KIST campus has Ten fully furnished rooms and a conference room.
