Rwanda international Patrick ‘Papy’ Sibomana has suffered a right-foot injury barely three weeks after joining the Belarus Premier League side Shakhtyor Soligorsk.

The 20-year-old forward picked up a bad injury on Sunday during a clash against league archrivals Dinamo Brest. The two sides played a 2-all draw. The former APR FC player might be out of action for two months.

Sibomana, who was out of contract with APR after last season, was playing his second competitive match with Shakhtyor on Sunday. After 19 league games, his side tops the table standings with 43 points, one point ahead of second-placed Dinamo Minsk while Bate Birisov stand third with 39 points.

Prior to his move to Shakhtyor Soligorsk last month, Sibomana was with the record 15-time champions APR since 2013. He helped the military side to win three league titles as well as two peace cup trophies.

FC Shakhtyor Soligorsk was founded in 1961 during the Soviet era and have won the Belarus Premier League six times and the Belarus Cup twice.
