Western media deliberately peddles falsehoods about Rwanda

Editor, RE: "How the Western media gets it wrong on Rwanda” (The New Times, August 17).

Dear Mr. Mbanda, you are right in every sense; the problem is that the concerned people will not learn from your article. You have said everything that they need to know and learn from. You have exposed all their weaknesses, including biased reporting, indifference, hate language, unprofessionalism...

You have given a good example of our neighbours in Kenya in the recently concluded presidential elections where both President Kenyatta and his rival Raila Odinga each got over 97% in some parts of the country and this was not criticised. I am not saying that they should have been criticised but simply wondering why President Kagame got 98% and it became an issue in the Western media as if it has never happened before.
