President Paul Kagame and First Lady Jeannette Kagame, on Saturday, February 3, joined over 6,000 delegates during the 11th edition of Rwanda Day themed: "Rwanda: A Legacy of Inclusiveness within and beyond Our Borders,” in Washington D.C.

The event brought together Rwandans and friends of Rwanda living abroad to reflect on the country’s development and different avenues through which they can make their contributions.

The event included a "Meet the President” session where members of the Diaspora and friends of Rwanda engaged with the President, expressing gratitude, posing questions, and offering suggestions aligned with the country's development agenda.

In Washington DC, over 6,000 participants came together to reflect on Rwanda’s development and different avenues through which they can make contributions.
On Saturday, February 3, Washington D.C. of the United States was a beehive of activity as thousands of Rwandans and friends of Rwanda descended on the US capital to attend the glamorous Rwanda Day.

Rwanda Day, which was held for the 11th time, is an event that brings together Rwandan communities abroad and national leaders from the political class, the private sector and civil society among others.
Celebrated singer and songwriter Bruce Melodie entertaining the event. While speaking on a panel discussion Melodie praised President Kagame "for his visionary leadership” that has seen the entertainment industry in Rwanda grow to higher scenes.
