LONDON - President Paul Kagame yesterday arrived in the United Kingdom (UK) where he will among other activities give a lecture at the London School of Economics on Thursday.

The President who was on his way from New York where he attended last week’s UN General Assembly is also expected to give a keynote address at the Rwanda Investment Forum due this week.

During the four-day visit, the President will meet the British Prime Minister, Gordon Brown, and other senior government officials.

He has also been invited by the Conservative Party leader, David Cameron, to address a party conference that will convene at Blackpool.

Cameron, who is also the leader of opposition in the UK, was in Rwanda in July where he led a delegation of about 50 Conservative Party members. During the visit, the Tories leader launched his party’s policy group paper on global anti-poverty campaign.

The UK is among Rwanda’s leading donor country.
