Songbird Butera Knowless’s new song #WinningTeam has elicited a lot of talk even before it hits the airwaves, with some saying that they cannot wait for the single, while others accused her of copying the artwork.

Knowless.

The Ujya Unkumbura singer was a victim of ‘cyber accusations’ after one Instagram user accused her of copying the artwork of DJ Khaled’s album.

The user claimed that the singer blocked him after he highlighted the similarities of her song cover and DJ Khaled’s.

Knowless and hubby/producer Clement Ishimwe have been hyping up the song, which was expected to be uploaded on different platforms this week.

The song, whose video and audio are set to be released this weekend, will be featured on her fifth album. Many have been guessing what it is all about.

The video is said to have been shot in Kigali and Gisenyi, according to Clement.

Clement also said that Winning Team addresses different people’s experiences or rather the ups and downs of the everyday life in society.

Speaking to The New Times in a phone interview, Knowles said she was excited about the release of the single as it is one of the songs that "will encourage many never to give up until they reach their goals”.

"I am really excited about this song. I would like listeners and my fans to learn that winners are not people who never fail, but rather people who never quit,” she said. "They only need to have courage and be kind.”

The Te Amo singer has so far released four albums and is now working on her fifth album.
