It was very satisfying to read that the Government has just launched an Affordable Housing, Fund which is the need of the hour today, not only in Rwanda but also also in India where I stay.

RE: "Cabinet approves Rwf290bn Affordable Housing Fund to reduce cost of loans” (The New Times, July 3). It was very satisfying to read that the Government has just launched an Affordable Housing, Fund which is the need of the hour today, not only in Rwanda but also also in India where I stay.
The very objective of this Fund is to bring much solace to and ease the burden of many Rwandans who are beset with a housing problem.
Affordable housing will ease the burden of young couples as they embark on their journey of life together and really need a housing loan at a reduced Interest rate which is precisely what this Fund will offer.
The Government of Rwanda is always alert to the needs of its citizens and comes out with suitable schemes and programmes aimed at alleviating the problems faced by cross sections of society.
