Gospel singers Gisubizo Ministries from Kimironko-based Four Square church will perform in a gospel concert scheduled to take place in Mwanza, Tanzania.

The 40-member ministry was invited earlier this week to take part in a gospel event dubbed "Mkutano Mukubwa Wa Injili”, where they will lead praise and worship sessions.

According to Elisa Bigira, the communications officer of Gisubizo ministries, the group will set off from Kigali to Tanzania on Saturday morning.

"We have been preparing ourselves ever since the invitation reached us and so we are ready to go and change and touch the lives of people in Mwanza, Tanzania,” said Bigira.

Gisubizo ministries will be performing in Mwanza, Tanzania.

Bigira added that they will be performing in Tanzania for the first time, something the ministry sees as a dream come true since their mission is to spread the gospel all over the world through singing.

Gisubizo ministries won three Groove Awards Rwanda accolades in 2016- best choir of the year, song and worship team of the year. This year, they also won the best artist of the year in Central and East Africa in the Groove Awards Kenya 2017.

They are known for songs like Amfitiye Byinshi, Ndaguhetse Ku Mugongo and Narababariwe among others.

The one week crusade will run from Sunday July 2 to July 9.

Bishop Dr. Fidele Masengo, the founder of Four Square church will also be among the preachers who will headline the crusade alongside Rev. Salmoni J. Nambo, a senior Tanzania pastor.

Other performers will include renowned Tanzanian gospel singers Rose Mhando and Matha Baraka among other local gospel singers and bands.editorial@newtimes.co.rw
