What’s happening this weekend? PHOTOGRAPHY EXHIBITIONCome support Jaques Nkizingabo’s photo exhibition "I am a Survivor". It includes portraits of children born during the 1994 Genocide against the Tutsi and people who lost loved ones. Inspired by Odile Gakire, the series depicts a generation of children growing up without their families, but still achieving their dreams. It happens this Friday at the Kiyovu based Goethe-Institut.

KIGALI ARTS FESTIVALNow in its third edition, the Kigali Arts Festival aims at showing revellers Rwandan art and, reaching out to local and vulnerable talented artisans. It will develop initiatives for all artisans to become independent. It happens this Saturday.

MEET & MEAT KIGALIEnjoy the tastiest grilled meat from professional barbecue experts Y-Not BBQ. It happens at Century Park Hotel & Residences (Chillax Gardens) at a very affordable entry fee with entertainment from DJ Hypnotiq from Kenya and Aludah from Uganda, as well as musical performances by Rwanda’s Charly & Nina and DJ Pius this Saturday.

FIESTA RWANDAThe long-awaited ‘Fiesta Rwanda’ is happening this Sunday at the Golden Tulip Hotel in Nyamata. Renowned Jamaican reggae band, Morgan Heritage, and Tanzanian star Diamond Platnumz will headline the show. It will also include performances by Vanessa Mdee and Chegge, both from Tanzania, local artistes Yvan Buravan, Charly & Nina, and DJ Pius. Fiesta is one of the biggest music events on the Tanzanian entertainment calendar and it is the first time the music festival will be staged outside Tanzania.
