Guaranty Trust Bank (Rwanda) Ltd continues to ensure it contributes positively towards the social and economic development of communities through empowerment and involvement in community-driven activities. Healthcare is one of the four major pillars of the Bank’s focus on Corporate Social Responsibility.

In line with improving the lives of people with disabilities, staff of GTBank took time to pay a visit to blind children at the Jordan Foundation, a local Non-Governmental Organization based in Gatsata, Kigali. The foundation was founded in 2016 by Mrs. Vanessa Bahati after giving birth to a blind child in order to help other blind children from poor families. The foundation currently has 20 children between the ages of 3 and 10 years of age. 16 of the children are completely blind while the other 4 children are partially blind.

The Bank donated beds, food stuff and other items of daily use to the foundation. The Bank officials spent the afternoon interacting with the children, the organization’s staff and learning more about the foundation.

The Bank will continue embarking on Corporate Social Responsibility initiatives in order to ensure the advancement of the society at large.
