It’s about time Rwandan youth rose to the occasion

Editor, RE: “It’s okay to be ambitious” (The New Times, June 19). Great read as always, Mr. Rugira. I watched you on Eugene Anangwe’s INFOCUS promoting this very idea that is somehow frowned upon, and I wholeheartedly agree with you. There’s absolutely no reason why the next seven years shouldn’t be about transitioning into an even greater system of governance.

RE: "It’s okay to be ambitious” (The New Times, June 19). Great read as always, Mr. Rugira. I watched you on Eugene Anangwe’s INFOCUS promoting this very idea that is somehow frowned upon, and I wholeheartedly agree with you. There’s absolutely no reason why the next seven years shouldn’t be about transitioning into an even greater system of governance. 

The battles that were fought by our forefathers among the RPF were precisely fought just so, as President Paul Kagame often says, those of us between 30-45 can take on the proverbial shepherd’s cane and ensure that Rwanda of tomorrow never EVER has to worry about insidious divisions that led to unspeakable of yesteryear.
