RRA beat Ruhango to maintain lead in women volleyball league

Women volleyball national league defending champions Rwanda Revenue Authority (RRA) have maintained their place at the summit after defeating Ruhango High School in the playoffs first leg on Sunday at Ecole Belge Gymnasium.

Women volleyball national league defending champions Rwanda Revenue Authority (RRA) have maintained their place at the summit after defeating Ruhango High School in the playoffs first leg on Sunday at Ecole Belge Gymnasium.

Jean de Dieu Masumbuko’s team, that is eyeing the 6th league title, won in straight sets 3-0 (25-13, 25-18 and 25-22) to stay top with 30 points, four ahead of second-placed APR, while St Aloys Rwamagana are in third place with 20 points and Ruhango fourth with 14 points.

Meanwhile, the Genocide Memorial Tournament champions, APR beat St Aloys Rwamagana 3-2 at Primature courts.

Rwanda Revenue Authority will visit Ruhango High School next Sunday and if they win the game, they will proceed to the final while APR will be at St Aloys to determine the winner of that semi-final. The league champions will represent Rwanda in next year’s Africa Women Championships.
