Dear Editor,
My dear friends—Gunners, I still reckon that you don’t raise your hopes too high despite Sunday’s win over Chelsea.

It was timely but it does not guarantee consistency, something that has eluded Arsenal this season.

On Saturday, Arsenal takes on Wigan. It’s true that Wigan has problems of their own but like Fulham, Hull, Stoke and Aston Villa, they will come out hard hoping for another upset.

I know many are relishing Arsenal’s chances and resting on the young guns Carling Cup laurels.

The Arsenal youngsters knocked Wigan out of the competition but we should not forget that this is a different competition altogether.

It is true that Arsenal are clear favourites and clearly have the quality to beat Wigan hands down but the million dollar question is ‘Will they do it?’

Let’s wait and see….
