Kids’News: World commemorates AIDS Day

Yesterday, December 1st, the whole world celebrated the World AIDS Day. In line with the 2008 slogan, ‘Stop AIDS. Keep the Promise’, people around the world are reminded to stay safe and fight against HIV/Aids.

Yesterday, December 1st, the whole world celebrated the World AIDS Day. In line with the 2008 slogan, ‘Stop AIDS. Keep the Promise’, people around the world are reminded to stay safe and fight against HIV/Aids.

The National AIDS Control Commission (C.N.LS) announced that HIV testing for all has become a top government priority.

The commissions Executive Secretary Dr. Anita Asiimwe, said that it is up to every individual to fight against HIV and integrate the fight in one’s programme and in all daily activities.

The children of Rwanda are also included in the fight against HIV/ Aids. Schools have been called upon to educate children and students on the dangers of HIV/Aids, its prevention and how to deal with the infected people, including children born with it.
