Local artistes to perform at 'Europe Street Fair'

The European community in Rwanda will officially celebrate the first ever ‘Europe Day’ in Rwanda through a show dubbed ‘Europe Street Fair’ on May 6 at Amahoro National Stadium parking area.

The European community in Rwanda will officially celebrate the first ever ‘Europe Day’ in Rwanda through a show dubbed ‘Europe Street Fair’ on May 6 at Amahoro National Stadium parking area.

The celebrations are marked by EU member countries and their embassies across the world.

Organized by the delegation of the European Union in Rwanda, the show will be a mix of live music performances from local music pioneers alongside international DJs from Europe.

Christian Intwali, the event co-organizer told The New Times that the show which is part of ‘Europe Day’ celebrations will be headlined by a number of local artistes and International DJs from across Europe. They include fast rising star Yvan Buravan, rapper Riderman, Charly & Nina, Kinga Blues, Afrogroov Music Band’s Angel Mutoni, Mike Kayihura, Deo Munyakazi, Eric Soul and Prime. Others will be back up bands like Nyundo Symphony Band and Kinga Blues, while Dutch duo, DJ Vasco and DJ Pim will be on the mix Deejaying all genres of hits.

The show will also provide a variety of Kid’s entertainment activities like bouncing castle, puppet show; face painting, egg and spoon race, photo sessions as well as quizzes, among other activities involving children and parents.

The event will also include an exhibition and will be free of charge for the general public to attend.

Europe Day is an annual celebration organized across the world by the European Union member countries.
