Bond market rakes in Rwf52.3m turnover

The bond market pushed Rwf52.5 million worth of bonds during yesterday’s trading session bringing in close to Rwf52.3 million in total turnover, the Rwanda Stock Exchange (RSE) daily market report for Tuesday indicates.

The bond market pushed Rwf52.5 million worth of bonds during yesterday’s trading session bringing in close to Rwf52.3 million in total turnover, the Rwanda Stock Exchange (RSE) daily market report for Tuesday indicates.

According to the report, Rwf50 million of the FXD3/2015/5-year bond changed hands at Rwf99.58, raking in close to Rwf49.8 million. The bond closed at Rwf108.41 previously.

The FXD 3/2016/5-year pushed 2.5 million worth of bonds at Rwf100.2, and recorded about Rwf2.51 in turnover. The TB, redeemable on 20/08/2021, declined from Rwf103.5 during the previous session.

Meanwhile, Bank of Kigali recorded Rwf294,000 in turnover from 1,200 shares traded in two deals during yesterday’s session. The counter closed at Rwf245, unchanged from Monday’s close.

Both Rwanda Share Index and All Share Index remained unchanged to close at 124.31 and 127.79 points, respectively, and market capitalisation was at Rwf2.82 trillion.

The equities counters closed as follows, Crystal Telecom at Rwf90; Bralirwa Rwf140; I&M Bank at Rwf105; Equity Bank at Rwf334, NMG at Rwf1,200; while KCB closed at Rwf330; and Uchumi Supermarkets at Rwf104.
