The 2017 edition of the Peace Cup competition will kickoff on April 18 with 1/16th qualification round matches. The tournament will be played over two legs and will kick off with four matches.

The tournament will be played over two legs and will kick off with four matches.
APR FC will be away to Vision FC at Mumena stadium; Esperance SK host Espoir at Mumena stadium, while relegation bound Pepiniere will take on Marines at Ruyenzi grounds. Musanze FC will be home against Isonga.
The second leg of the 1/16th round will be played on April 25 and 26 to determine who proceeds to the 1/8th round.
The 1/8th round leg will be played in May as well as the first leg of the quarter final round, while the second leg of the last eight will be played in the first week of June.
All semi-final matches will be staged in June while the final will be played on July 4.
The competition will be played over two legs until the semi-final stage where eventual winners will face-off in the final to determine the winner who will represent Rwanda at next year’s CAF Confederation Cup.
Rayon Sports won last year’s title after they edged archrivals APR FC 1-0 in the title match, which gave them the ticket to this year’s CAF Confederation Cup.
Djuma Masudi’s team are already in the play-off round of Africa’s second biggest club competition after eliminating Mali’s Onze Créateurs of Mali following FIFA’s suspension of the Mali FA from all sporting activities in March.
Peace Cup holders Rayon Sports will face Rivers United of Nigeria in the play-off round of the 2017 CAF Confederation Cup with the first leg due in Port Harcourt on the weekend of April 15-16 while the second leg is due in Kigali on April 22.
Making their third appearance at the annual continental showpiece, Djuma Masudi’s side need a win over the two legs against Rivers United to reach the group stages.
