Change at CAF was inevitable

Why the negative headline that seems to imply foreboding because of a change – long overdue – at the top of the continent’s football management?

Editor,

RE: "African soccer faces uncertain future under new regime” (The New Times, March 19).

Why the negative headline that seems to imply foreboding because of a change – long overdue – at the top of the continent’s football management?

The reference to an ‘uncertain’ future is also superfluous – by definition, the future is always uncertain and including this in the headline is akin to saying the Pope is Catholic.

As someone once said, nothing is harder to predict than the future!
