Business mogul Gael Karomba, popularly known as Coach Gael, manager of Bruce Melodie and founder of 1:55AM Entertainment, has said that Bruce Melodie's investment in local basketball club United Generation (UGB) is a "priceless forever" deal.

Coach Gael said this during a press conference held on Friday January 19, to launch the partnership between Bruce Melodie and UGB, as well as explore the nature of the partnership.

"We can't put a price on the support and backing we're giving to UGB. This is a forever deal that will last for years and our intention is to make a big difference in the team's development journey, which is priceless," said Coach Gael during the press conference.

The investor went on to say that in addition to supporting UGB, the team is really invested in taking the sport to another level and has built an entertainment centre on the roof of CHIC building with a mini football and basketball court as well as an indoor golf course to accelerate sports tourism in the country.

For Jean Luc Cyusa, president of UGB, the amount Bruce Melodie and his team have invested in UGB is significant but does not equate to the unwavering support they are giving to the team, which shows signs of taking it to another level soon.

"From our perspective as UGB, prices are not important. We have focused on building our team, starting with the intangibles that can take us to the next level. It&039;s a long-term deal that aims to lift the team and put it on the spotlight," said Cyusa.

UGB finished eighth out of the 14 teams that competed in the 2023 Rwanda Basketball League and with the new signings and the partnership with Bruce Melodie, the club is hoping to improve their performance next season.
