Tanzania head coach Salum Mayanja has named a 26-man squad for their Group H 2018 Africa Nations qualifier against Rwanda in July.

Mayanja has also selected another team that will be preparing for the 2019 AFCON qualifiers, according to reports.

Rwanda hosted last year’s CHAN edition.

The first leg is scheduled July 14-16 in Dar es Salaam before the return leg in Kigali on the weekend of July 21-23.

Rwanda’s new head coach Antoine Hey (Germany) is expected to jet into country on Friday.

The last time Rwanda and Tanzania met was during the 2015 CECAFA Challenge Cup held in Ethiopia. Rwanda lost 1-2 in the group stages before finishing runners-up to winners Uganda after losing the final 0-1.

CHAN is reserved for players who feature in their domestic leagues across Africa and the next edition will be staged in Kenya from January 11 to February 2, 2018.
