Challengers Cricket Club captain Srinath Vardhineni believes their semi-final encounter against archrivals Telugu Royals will not be a walkover and has urged his teammates to get ready for the challenge as they bid to retain the title.

The two sides lock horns this Sunday at Kicukiro ground in the semi-final of V.R NAIDUT20 Cricket tournament.

The defending champions, who also double as the official sponsors of this tournament, have been in a formidable form this season winning all of their four matches and finishing the first half of the tournament on the top of the group.

Nonetheless, the veteran Rwandan cricket player says the tie with Telugu Royals will not be an easy one and that the latter are genuine title contenders.

"We have been in a great form this season and it has raised our confidence and morale; however, Telegu has also had a good season, so it won’t be an easy game but we are training hard, we want to retain the title,” he said.
