Rwanda has improved seven places in the latest FIFA rankings that were released on Thursday at the world governing body headquarters in Zurich, Switzerland.

Amavubi is now as the 93rd best side in the world, seven places up their February ranking and 24th in the Confederation of African Football (CAF) rankings, improving four positions from last month.

In the CECAFA region, Uganda continues to lead after improving one spot to 74th world-wide, followed by Kenya, who dropped to 88th while Ethiopia come third at 104th.

Sudan improved to 138th but Burundi dropped one spot to 139th; Tanzania jumped up by one place to 157th while South Sudan improved two spots to 167th.

Egypt moved up three positions from last month’s rankings, breaking into top 20. The Pharaohs are currently ranked 20th globally, maintaining their top position on the continent—the first time the record seven-time African champions have reached this position since 2011.

Senegal remain second in Africa but moved up three positions in the world ranking to 28th followed by the reigning African champions Cameroon, who moved up by one position to 32nd. Burkina Faso are 36th, replacing Tunisia, who dropped down one position.

Meanwhiel, Argentina has continued to top the FIFA rankings ahead of Brazil and Germany as the top 10 positions remained the same—Chile (4th), Belgium (5th), France (6th), Colombia (7th), Portugal (8th), Uruguay and Spain, who are 9th and 10th respectively.
