Volleyball: Yves Mutabazi joins Kepler

Rwandan volleyball player Yves Mutabazi has joined local volleyball league newcomers Kepler Volleyball Club.

A very talented left attacker famous for his formidable power service, Mutabazi was one of the most outstanding players at the 2021 African Championships held in Kigali, where he played a starring role as the country finished sixth out of the 12 nations that participated.

Kepler, a club making its debut in the topflight this year, is continuing to make significant investment both on and off the court.

They will open their journey in the local league against Kirehe on January 20.

Mutabazi played for local clubs like APR VC but also plied his trade out of Rwanda, most recently in the United Arab Emirates.

Times Sport understands that for the past 1-2 years, he had taken a break from professional basketball and was living in the United States of America.
