RE: "What it will take to improve Rwanda’s trade balance” (The New Times, February 28).

Great piece. Let sectors that focus on foreign markets be granted special finance and tax policies, including subsidising transport costs as support to the infant industry. Promoting infant industries will surely help our young innovators to be active not only in Rwanda but also in EAC.

In addition, we are doing well in ICT but few people are good at marketing their products; let us be honest in doing things well with trust and commitment and the rest will work itself out in no time.
