Over 500 children attended the 4th Annual National Pediatric Conference on Children Infected and Affected with HIV, the virus that causes Aids. HIV/Aids is commonly transmitted to children at birth.

At the conference, children advised government and all the other decision makers to help provide treatment for the infected and assist the numerous orphans.

All dressed in red and white bright colours, the children performed alongside Mashirika Art Group and clearly presented their messages through short plays and dance moves.

Through this conference, participants were able to learn that all infected and affected children are to be treated equally. People were warned against the mistreatment of children suffering from HIV/ Aids because anyone can be born with the virus.
