Dear Editor,

By now most of our commercial banks should be eyeing to expand and compete in the regional market just like Fina Bank is doing.

At their official launch of the Rwandan branch, Fina Bank that already existed in Kenya, announced that they will be expanding to Uganda, Burundi and Tanzania. As I write now, they are in Uganda.

With the East African Community in place, customers are bound to quickly join banks that are capable of providing services through the region.

Recently, I managed to transfer money through a certain service "Fina Direct” and within the shortest time possible, I was able to meet the needs of my relatives in Kenya.

This was very impressive because using other money transfer services is much more expensive. Any serious person would prefer to identify themselves with good services so I urge all the other banks to expand and come up with products that answer regional needs. If others can then, everyone else can.
