Rwanda National Olympic and Sports Committee (RNOSC) will hold their Annual General Assembly on Saturday (today) at Hotel Belvedere in Rubavu District.

RNOSC communication officer, Fidele Kajugiro, said that a number of issues will be discussed during the assembly; among them, the time table for elections, the 2016 annual report, approval of federations that obtained legal status.

According to the rules and regulations set by the International Olympic Committee (IOC), all National Olympic Committees are supposed to hold fresh elections after every four years.

The incumbent RNOC president, Robert Bayigamba, and his executive committee were elected into office in April 2013.

The former sports minister stood unopposed and replaced Brig. Gen. Charles Rudakubana, who was elected in 2009 to take over from Ignace Beraho.
