FIBA Africa Zone 5: REG faces KPA in second game

Rwanda Energy Group women basketball club take on KPA of Kenya in the second game of the ongoing Africa Zone Five Club Championship this evening in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania.

The match gets underway at 3pm at the Benjamin Mkapa Indoor Stadium.

On Tuesday, REG defeated Young Sisters of Burundi 65-54 in their first game in Dar es Salaam.

In an interview with Times Sport, REG coach Esperance Mukaneza acknowledged the strength of KPA but declared the team's ambition to win every game in the Africa Zone Five Club Championship.

"We are ready to give all we have. We want to finish unbeaten in the Africa Zone Five Club Championship, and it is possible”, she said

In the last game, Feza Ebengo was one of the key performers for REG, registering 16 points and 10 rebounds.

With the top team assured of a ticket to the FIBA Africa Champions Cup for Women, it will be a tight duel as it will be competitive.
