Up to 10 players from different clubs will miss the opening match of the second round of the 2023/2024 Primus National League due to suspension.

The second round gets underway on Friday, January 12 through Sunday, January 14 with a number of matches including Rayon Sports vs Gasogi United, AS Kigali vs Bugesera, APR vs Etincelles, and Mukura vs Amagaju, among others.

Times Sport has learned that there are a number of players who accumulated three yellow cards and thus will not be allowed to play the opening game of the second round, as per Ferwafa’s regulations.

Among the teams that won’t have their players is APR which will be without four, including key ones like Fitina Omborenga and Taiba Mbonyumwami.

For Rayon Sports, Hakim Bugingo will miss their game vs Gasogi, while Kiyovu will be without Sharif Bayo for its match with Muhazi United.

Olise Osaluwe (AS Kigali), Hakim Bugingo (Rayon Sports), Sharif Bayo (Kiyovu Sports), Taiba Mbonyumwami (APR FC), Alvin Ngoy Llunga (Marines FC), Paul Lab Garia (Sunrise FC), Jean Claude Dusabe (Amagaju FC), Fitina Omborenga (APR FC), Issa Tuyisenge (Muhazi United) and Robert Mugabe (Gasogi United).
