Kije Mugisha Rwamasirabo.

Ms Kije Mugisha is a former media consultant. She is currently the Director of Rwanda Television and deputy Director General of Orinfor.

The first thing you do in the morning...

I pray and I go over all that needs to be done for the day.

When were you happiest?

Right now, being blessed by God to have all my prayer requests answered.

What is your greatest fear?

To be afraid.

Your favorite word…

Yeah!

What is the closest you have come to death?

In 1987, my aunt Juliet and I were coming back from Maryland from visiting family and we were supposed to take the Amtrak Train from Silvers Springs. But we were a bit short on money and ended up taking the Greyhound bus. After, we learnt that the train we were scheduled to take crashed and killed 16 passengers.

What was your most embarrassing moment?

I don’t think I have one; at least none that I can remember.

Your female hero?

My mother. She’s a resilient, very tough who can look at anything and believe all will be fine.

What would you go with on an Island?

My favorite books.

Your favorite artistes?

The late Luther Vandross, Ms. Diana Ross, Chris Brown, Alicia Keys, The late Marvin Gaye, Freddie McGreggor and late Bob Marley.

How do you spend your leisure time?

I love to get out of my normal scenary and go out to the beach. I love water and always feel renewed when I’m around natural bodies of water.

The craziest thing you have ever done in life….

They’re too many. I’m always doing crazy things but have slowed them down a bit. I guess one that would top the craziest thing is driving from New York to Atlanta alone without anybody’s knowledge.

If you were given chance to edit your past, what would that be?

If I had a chance to edit my past, one thing I would have changed is having around my Dad, the late John Mugisha Sabune and his Dad, The late Rev. Andreya Sabune. I love family a lot and always tried bringing them together. But now that I’m married, I would have been so overjoyed to have them both at my wedding.

Who is Ms Kije Mugisha in five words?

Ambitious, kind-hearted, understanding, assertive and resourceful.
