Why was Dream Boyz’ Platini dumped?

If you have been following local showbiz news lately, then you’ve heard about Platini Nemeye being dumped.

Rumour going around is that Diane Ingabire, the girl in question, dumped Platini, and, wait for it, he was planning a wedding, telling close friends that he would soon share an official date.

Ingabire, however, for reasons not known to us, wasn’t too thrilled about wedding bells and ended the relationship instead.

We are also told that the events that followed, left many a people in awe. It has come to our notice that Ingabire didn’t even wait for the breakup to go cold; she recently posted pictures of her new guy on Instagram, which rubbed a couple of people the wrong way.

She was called unserious, spiteful and tad bit manipulative, with some asking why she wasted the singer’s time.

Ingabire, however, has moved on swiftly and her man, Feston Rutayisire, has been photographed on the streets of Kigali in quite a lengthy limousine.

Nemeye has not commented on this new relationship but we hope he moves on in the same fashion.

Zari opens up about her struggles

Zari

Ugandan businesswoman and socialite, Zari Hassan, has opened up about her struggles as a mother.

The mother of five says that it is not easy raising a child, even with the help of nannies. Zari, who recently gave birth to a baby boy, has revealed that she has to stay up till late most nights waiting on her baby to sleep.

She said, "With all the help in this house from the maids and grannies, I still stay up with my son till he sleeps. It’s hard work being a mom usually with less or no sleep at all but hey, it’s the most beautiful thing ever. Some probably think ‘she sleeps and lets her nanny do the work’, wrong, I stay up all night every other day. What a job!!”

Meanwhile, Zari welcomed her new bundle of joy in early December last year. Christened Nillan, he is Zari’s second child with Tanzanian superstar Diamond Platnumz, after their daughter, Princess Tiffah.

Fans not happy with Meddy’s new video

Meddy

Rwandan US-based R&B star Meddy is currently facing criticism over his new video, Ntawamusimbura.

Negative comments are flooding social media, reminding the Rwandan artiste to learn how to ‘behave’ in videos.

Word reaching our desk is that the quality of the video is outstanding; it was shot in a desert in Oklahoma in the United States. However, people seem to have an issue with the length of the video which lasts six minutes and 20 seconds.

Some people have jokingly called it a ‘documentary.’

We are also told that people, mostly his fans, were not impressed by the acting in the video and the fact that he was throwing popcorn at a girl who had just dumped him.

This comes after The Ben also faced criticism over his Habibi video, in which he threw a latte at a woman.

Hopefully other musicians will take this as a lesson learnt on what to avoid when making their videos.

The Ben postpones return to the US

The Ben

After a mega performance at the East African Party which took place on January 1, Benjamin Mugisha, better known as The Ben, has called off his scheduled return to the USA where he is based.

The singer was scheduled to return to the US on January 16 but our snoops tell us this has been put on hold to enable him do more shows upcountry.

Word has it that the artiste, under his management (East African Promoters), is organising another show upcountry.

News reaching our desk is that the singer may perform in Rubavu District in the Western Province before returning.

We are told that organisers want him to hold as many events as possible, which is also a way to help the singer meet more of his fans in the country. We will keep you posted.
