Editor, It was very encouraging to read about the innovative program introduced by the Ministry of Sports and Culture in collaboration with the Ministry of Education, the Southern Provincial Government and the Ethnography Museum in Huye District.

The program, "Holidays in Museums”, saw as many as 189 children attend a two-week camp at the Ethnography Museum.

This novel initiative will enhance the exports of Made in Rwanda products and will also help in maintaining a healthy import/export trade balance.

As Minister Uwacu explained, "the establishment of culture-based industries” will support the country’s target of Made in Rwanda and such camps will serve as a catalyst to the entire process.

Extending this initiative on a national level will enable Remarkable Rwanda not only to increase export earnings, but also adding valuable culture to the bouquet of tourism products.
