RE: "Volkswagen to set up plant in Rwanda” (The New Times, December 21).

This is so impressive. Much compliments to whoever was involved in the deal. Elsewhere in Africa such a Memorandum of Understanding has remained a pipe dream.

Keeping in mind the seriousness of the Government of Rwanda, it is no doubt that Volkswagen has got a strong partner, they shall never regret.

On the same note, Rwanda Development Board (RDB) should try harder to ensure that such big projects are distributed in all provinces. This will ensure that no place or province remains behind in the development race.
